Except, some cats just sleep their lives away. Duke doesn’t fall into this category.
First of all, he IS a duke— the Duke of Alewife. In addition to this, he is a visiting scholar at MIT, where he has lived not only in the dorms but also the fraternities. This means Duke is constantly on his socks, thinking of how to outwit his peers.
Unlike most cats, Duke keeps up with technological trends. He has his own e-mail address: duke (at) dukethecat (dot) com, and he tweets AND also tumbl’s. Unsatisfied with the brevity of microblogging trends, he has decided to paw his story in the form of hypertextual literature.
Instead of discussing his nine lives (after all, it's no fun for Google to be able to turn up everything on you), Duke hopes to present nine vignettes on his current life at MIT that can be read in any order.
